Rain+worn tires=OUCH

I was taking the Padre Island Drive/Hwy37N interchange about 5mph too quick and lost it and couldn't straighten back up until after I hit for the 3rd time. Heres the pics. And yes the car is still driveable but its just got more scratches and dents and now missing some body. I cut off the fender and part of the bumper.:cry::cry:

That same turn I can take at 85mph when its dry and I have taken it at 55mph when it was wet and didn't have a problem but I guess my tires are worn down enough to not be as effective.

Now I'd just settle for some JDM tails.

Good thing no one else hit, then it would be a bigger mess. You could also check eBay for the headlights, there are usually some on there.

Surely your deductible is less than the cost for the bodywork. Get the frame checked out... it could be tweaked given that you have damage on two corners.

most reason people cant gain back control is because they let off the gas and hit the breaks. when you need to counter correct the wheel and keep on the gas mildly. but sometimes it doesnt work

I pulled my foot off the gas and was afraid to put my foot on the gas cause I didn't want the tires to loose any more traction than they already had. I was basically going sideways in a drift around it.

ive lost control in the snow/ice roads and just contercorrected and keep my foot on the gas spun couple times finally got staight and just keep drive until i got pulled over(did it right in front of a cop) he say nice driving i thought for sure you where going to crash. i was doing 45 in 3 inch of snow and ice on a narrow road only 16 foot road. traveled about 100 yard before i started to not going backwards. probally slid for 400feet. he gave me a ticket for driving to endanger but got out of it because there was a black ice warning out. thought it scared the sh*t out of me keeping my foot on the gas probally saved me

yeah i lost it about a week ago around a turn by my house it was about 11 and the roads were wet which i didnt realize went around a 45 mph turn doing about 65-70 and slid around it back and forth...big ditch on the left side, a bank on the right side, and a car in the other lane

Whats funny is that I always romp on the gas in dry conditions when going around the same interchange. I just have to remember to still do that but not so much when its wet outside.

I can get one locally from a salvage yard for $75. Cost would probably be the same in the long run.
