View Full Version : I found a loose sensor

I noticed a sensor under the pcv valve. It is held by 2 philips screws and the tabs are slotted. I twisted it & it moved-screws werent tight. Im assuming this is a timing type pick-up run off the cam? So I see timing marks on the cover by the crank pulley- Is this how we set timing on these things? Any specs or directions I need to know?

Not entirely sure I see the sensor you're talking about?

The one w/white connector, about 2inches from the tps. Has large hose connected below. I think this is the IAC? Never saw one like this. Slotted hold downs (adjustable?) I took the cover off and felt like a magnet-also saw jb weld on the top, under the cover. Mysterious

i think your talking about the iac in that pic, buts its on the intake mani, not on the block

I believe that is it. Its just to the rt. of the unplugged tps in the pic above. Looks like Ill have to get one of those too, along w/headgaskets :roll: What are the slotted hold-downs all about- Ive never seen an iac like that before-its so big :smt031
