this using a 29$ wireless obd device that sends info out via bloothtooth.

the program for the iphone will read it. clear codes, and much much more... i know what im asking for xmas for my iphone!

Pretty sweet. I saw their app for my iPod Touch a while ago but didn't want to buy it. That's neat though, especially the data logging feature. I don't tend to travel with my iPod though for fear of banging it up (or having it stolen...again).

What's the point of having an iPod then? I thought it was designed for all that transportation/commuting, 24/music etc.

It is. I just don't want to succomb mine to the thrashing around in my car. I use the iTouch for traveling (watching movies, checking email, etc.) and have an iPod Nano for the car.

Best buy carries a great vent clip universal holder that works for IPods. It's 10.99. Problem solved. It's what I use for my Zune.

This wouldn't work with an iPod Touch. No Bluetooth.

Actually, it uses Wifi to communicate with the iPod/iPhone so it will work with the touch, and its $229, not $29, I was all excited until i saw the actual price. >:0

29 dollars did seem a little bit cheap for that.

I'll stick with the scanguage.

I gotta say that it's a pretty slick application. the next step will be street-dyno tuning via remote - the tuner can be sitting in a nice warm room, you take your car out for a spin, have the car call the tuner, the tuner looks at the data, makes some adjustments and sends the new maps back to the car.
