i have a naturally aspirated EJ25D and i'm doing a compleat performance rebuild and i want to do a valve job. what's the best size to go with that will still leave me open for a turbo later on and still give me maximum performance with stage 3 cams?

I don't know about "size" but I sure hope you have engine management lined up for stage 3 cams. You're building a race motor with stage 3 type hardware.

Anyway, here's some info from TWE for you on valve jobs:

that brings up another question, is there anything i can do temperaraly with the stock ecu untill i can find time and money to get and install a new ecu? or do i have to wait to do the cam job?

Stage 3 cams will not allow your car to idle like a street car. You'll probably need EM with Stage 2 cams.

Best to do the entire thing at once, along with a tune.

are stage 3 cams going to eliminate street driving?

are stage 3 cams going to eliminate street driving?
mostlikely. i know you need to standalone to have them run right
and for valves. stock size is fine. Ferrea make proformance valve for the N/A ej25d. stock size or +1mm. the stock valves are fine, if you want you can get them coat for high comp or turbo. but unless you going for major boost (28psi+) or CR 12.5:1+ stock valves should be good

one last question, N/A?

N/A = Non-Aspirated (engine)

usually referring to 'all motor' or engines without turbo / forced induction.

so you're gonna do this build yourself?

you need to do some serious reading if that is the case. Good luck!
