Have a 2008 Subaru Legacy 3.0R and researching new tires. I live between Allentown and Philadelphia, PA and need an All-Season Tire. Tirerack ratings lean towards the Kuhmo...Can anyone help in my decision?? Thanks!!

What kind of tire are you looking for? If your looking for a performance tire, an all-season or snow tire will not meet your expectations. It would also be helpful to know where you live, because the climate can make a huge difference in what type of tire you get.

I live between Philadelphia and Allentown, PA and need an all season tire. In the winter months I do encounter some snow and ice. I would love to have a set of tires/wheels for winter, but because of the size they were $$$.

I would run these year round if I didn't have a 2nd set of wheels. In fact, when my wife's blizzaks and Kumho Solus 16's wear out, that's exactly what she'll be running on her Accord.

I am currently running Goodyear Assurance triple treads. I can't really give a good review for wear or grip in snowy conditions because I haven't had them that long. But my old tires were the Nokian all-season directional tire and probably would have had great grip in snow, but they were wore out when I got my car. But the one thing is the price quote I got for 205/55/16 was $187 a tire, so I didn't get them because of the price. For your size they would probably be even more expensive.

I have 215/45r18 on my 3.0 SpecB, and I bought 4 Bridgestone lm 22 blizzark for it: they're reinforced, good on road, and I'd train them on snow once: I'm happy with them, but they're winter tyres...
I know Pirelli is selling an new all-weather tyre, but I can't buy them in France, they're not imported in our size: I think you can find them in USA.
And for Nokian, I usd to buy some for my last 3 subies, they're amazing on snow or ice, but don't exsist in 215/45r18... :wink:
