so i got some VOGTLAND springs for my 03 BE. But it turns out, that the spring does not fit the stock legacy perch AND the Impreza Spring Perch. THe top of the spring is actually a little bit smaller than the WRX Perch.

So the guy at the place told me that since vogtland based their spring on the european and JDM legacies, that the 03-04 over there in Japan and Europe is actually 05-up in USDM. So he said i have to go look for spring perches and rubber seats that fit 05-up legacies.

anybody confirm this? the Spring is actually Smaller than the WRX perches. which perches do i need to get?

This is the same problem I ran into with these, I have had to put the project off for months because I didn't know what parts i needed. If anyone can confirm the compatibilty of the perches above, I'll grab some and try it out.

the rear springs will work fine.
the fronts are tricky. the springs are smaller in diameter around the top. the Legacy BE spring perch and WRX spring perches WILL NOT WORK.

so i bought the 06 Spec. B Upper Spring perches so they will fit the springs and the struts. The ONLY thing that has some faults is that, these springs are small, and when you mount the springs on the strut, it doesn't fit all the way through. No need to compress the fronts. So when you pick up the car, the springs will come off the perch. And when you lower it back down, you have to stop and rearrange the springs to fit on the perch. But other than that, the feel is not Stock but Not Stiff.

you can check out the pictures on my RIDE SECTION.

Where'd you pick up the Spec B's? I have to finally get on this and get these springs on here!

AWESOME! Thank you so much, I'll head over to the dealer tomorrow and see if I can pick those up.

Finally this 5 month project will be complete!

Woah, woah. Stop right there. That is really, really unsafe sounding. If you unload the front suspension over a bump the springs may come out of their proper perch and when you come back down on it you may find you're in a world of hurt. In NY state, there's no way, absolutely no way that would pass inspection.

Please, consider carefully.

VERY good point, I will have to see what it looks like when I fit it all together when the perches are here, definitely a concern...

Sorry if I seemed forceful, I would :-( if I found members starting to get smeared all over the pavement.
