I picked up my car on monday. I just got a chance to take pics of it today. I added the air filter and the strut bar on tuesday.

Looks like a pretty solid GT :smt023
You're off to a good start so keep it up!
Any more plans?

I've got lots of plans for it. It will just take some time. I plan on doing a full sound system. I just need a good head unit (working at a stereo shop this will be soon) I already have amps, 2-12" subs, tv sunvisors ect. I also have an ej20 sitting on a pallet that I will eventually drop in it as well as a 5spd tranny. I need a couple more parts for the swap yet. I also have a set of konig wheels. I definatly want to do a full suspension system. I will probably install a light weight crank pulley sometime next week.

I'm not sure, but did you post this on NASIOC? or RS25.com? I remember reading about a carbon fibre trim kit (non stock). Also looks like the previous owner did some color-matching with at least one sideskirt...

Good luck with the sound system, I really can't stand all that additional weight in the back of the car. I'd much rather install a dry-sump fuel system and relocate the battery back there. But that's just me. ;)

Welcome to our forums!

I haven't seen the faux carbon fiber trim in a long time. You should paint all the wood grain trim black in my opinion. Carbon fiber and wood don't belong together.

It looks like a nice base for mods. Just respray that back bumper and paint the other side skirt and it will look even sharper.

As for performance suspension mods, the Outback rear sway is the best bang for your buck.

yeah I posted on rs25 as well. I noticed the side skirt the night I got it when I gave it a bath. I plan on doing the wood grain black and getting the side skirt and rear bumper sprayed. I got a pioneer avh-p5700dvd flip out touch screen from work today as well as the power wire I need to hook up my box. I also put in a set of hella head light bulbs, new wipers, and a gray and black leather steering wheel cover.

Last night I installed a Pioneer avh-p5700dvd head unit. I am going to cut out a piece of carbon fiber to make a switch panel where the oem cd player was mounted. I'll post pics when I get the panel done.

Couple of questions:

How much was the e-brake handle/where did you get it? The previous owner of mine had a dog like enjoyed chewing on the handle. (Luckily it was the only place he enjoyed doing so)

And second, how do you like the intake/how beneficial has it been? I'm thinking about putting an intake on my '98 2.5 GT Sedan.

Thanks

Phil

P.S. Nice ride, lol.

The e-brake handle was on the car when I got it. It is a subaru part and can be purchased through the dealer. They retail for almost $300. (I'm glad it came with it). Just an intake doesn't make a whole lot of difference. I installed the filter the day after I got the car. it does sound like it has a supercharger with the filter. I plan on doing a cheap exhaust soon.

Okay, thanks.

I checked in with the dealership, and they want $140 for a new e-brake handle. I don't really need anything fancy, but I don't feel it's worth $140 for the stock one either, lol.

ive seen the same looking e-brake handles on ebay for like $15...the cf ones...

retail prices are ridiculous

I used to have one of those on my honda. lol not sure how they would fit on a subaru due to the boot on our factory handle is part of the handle its self. you would probably have to get an aftermarket boot to go with it.

is it really?
im glad you told me that before i spent money on an off brand one and tore apart everything

I did find the drivers side one under the passenger seat with the back of the housing cracked and the lens isn't in the greatest shape. LOL. I eventually would like the jdm black housing ones.

Yep, the ebrake handle is part of the mechanism.
