Well I'm not in to turkey so I decided to spruce up the interior of my 00' BH

I had some random things lying around the shop to try out.

First up: WRX pedal covers (clutch and brake pedal)

Simply peel up the old black rubber covers, slide the WRX ones up from the bottom of the pedal upwards. Using a small flat screw driver flip the rest of the lip over the top of the pedal.

Next up: STi Parking Brake Handle (red stitching, chrome button)

Remove the center console pieces (shifter surround, parking brake surround, rear section of the console)

Remove the two 10mm nuts holding the cable into the handle. unbolt the handle from the floor (1x12mm bolt, 1x12mm nut)

Lift the handle and use a small flat screw driver to pry back the cable retention tab and slide the cable out of the stock handle.

Reinstall the original cable into the STi handle and bend the retention tab back down. Reinstall the handle with the bolt and nut. Adjust the cable to desired lift point.

I had to pull the handle a little to the left to get it centered in the opening for the console but I think it was simply because my handle was out of a wrecked car.

Last one: WRX Momo steering wheel

Follow the factory procedure for removing air bags!!

Center the steering wheel, Remove the air bag

Loosen the 17mm nut holding the wheel on, grab the wheel firmly on each side and pull it towards you while wiggling it back and forth, it will pop off the column (leave the nut on otherwise you'll end up with a bloody nose!!)

Reinstall the WRX wheel, it plugs into the BH clock spring nicely :)

Reinstall the airbag and you're good to go. If you want to get fancy get a Ver.7 STi wheel so it'll have red stitching to match the parking brake handle.

I have a few more projects up my sleeve but they'll have to wait until the next holiday

I'll snap a pic of two tomorrow so you can see the finished product.

One addition about the airbag - disconnect the battery and discharge the electrical system before messing with the airbag system first.

Nice mods, quick and easy. I have a few similar ones myself, should get to them tomorrow. ;)

Get to it!

I forgot how nice a leather wrapped steering wheel was!

Next up is some new seats or recover and repad the originals (anyone selling Blitzen wagon seats? )
