i went to a junkyard to find parts to repair the damage from my accident...i found an lsi

looked nice front was destroyed though it was in the middle of a swamp in the junkyard...my friend walked on cars to get to the front of it and opened the hood i opened the doors and crawled across that way and managed to get onto the engine

i pulled the stock intake off of it to put on my car....i threw it on today and went for a test drive...i love it...its louder, lower, doesnt sound bad heres a pic

yes...i know i have a leak lol

and reason its dirty...took off the backing plate went through mud puddles ALOT...i was actually going to clean it and winter temps come around it went from 60 to 30 in like 2 days lol

You can still clean it during winter. Steam clean it, then go for a drive.

since we're talking about my engine and so i dont have to waste another post if i push the gas too far in when im pulling from a dead stop itll start accelerating for a split second and then start dying out and then start accelerating again..and sometimes it sputters when going up a hill...whats wrong with it is that because the engines dirty as hell?

My guess about problem with the engine bogging down at low RPM's is that its related to the cone filter and it causing turbulence at low RPM's that causes the MAF sensor to send incorrect signals to the ECU. The MAF thinks that there is more air coming in than there actually is so the ECU dumps a ton of fuel into the cylinder making it run extremely rich for a few seconds

I probably would have said "new-old intake, hesitation with accel from stop"...
