So about 2 months ago I sold my BMW e30 and became the owner of a 96 ej22 5speed Outback. I'd be lying to say I don't miss, but I love my new wagon too! The reason for the switch was to get a car I can take up snowboarding(safely), especially since I am planning to move to Tahoe next year.
However I was rear ended the other week, so excuse the bumpers and the crooked exhaust as they will be fixed shortly.
Anyways here are the pictures.

Welcome! I'm up at Sierra (Tahoe) pretty much every weekend December through April, snowboarding my ass off.

Nice wagon...and nice beamer as well. Where in CA are you right now? Looks like the foothills...

San Luis Obispo. One of the pictures was taken in San Jose though, where I bought it.

Welcome man. Nice wagon! Nice e30 too. I saw you were debaged; was it an eta?

I actually got into my Outback from a bimmer as well. 86 e28 535i 5sp. Damn thing was a beast and had a billion miles, but it just wasn't the right car for me at the time. Sometimes it had too much personality. It would've made a perfect second car, but I couldn't afford two.

But, I've had Subarus before and know that they can be just as 'alive' as older BMWs, so have fun with your Outback.

The e30 is is a 1991 318is.

I don't plan to drop it at all. I plan to take this car camping and there are some rough roads where I definitely need the clearance, plus it's nice not scraping around town.

Short term plans for it are tint, mesh grille, and projectors. I would like to get some wrx seats and then work out the whole shifter linkage thing to get a short shifter in there, but I probably wait on these unless a really good deal pops up.
