I found this Really clean 97 OutBack on craigslist this week for $2000 or best offer. "Needs Head Gasket "Came with a complete set of FelPro gaskets, Head set, conversion set, and 2 boxes of head bolts, and two new front rotors to boot.

After a little haggling I talked him down to $1200. completely through email. never touched the car, But I could see from the pic's it was clean. showed up sat morning 2.5 min before the 4 door GMC Topkick rollback came backing into his 200' driveway, doing a cash run for me looking to snatch and go.

It was all I could do to interduce myself and hand him $1200 with the other hand, as the car is being drag up the bed of the Roll Back. I still haven't even looked at the damn thing! They ask for their $75 I give him $80 and their off........... I look back at the guy and say well, now that that's out of the way, How are You! This is my wife Tammy. They were really nice people that gave me a nice deal, and I thanked them for their generosity.

They had all ready bought an 05 O/B to replace their 97. It reminded me so much like that newer commercial were the couple put their boat up for sale because they have two Subaru's.
I Picked up a Haynes R/M and have done a bunch of reading on this site. I just wanted to say I feel better about this Engine work that needs to be done because of all of your members input.
The car Has 185,000 miles on it but it looks like it was kept real well, New on the inside, new tires, new radiator, heater core, no rust except on all the little brackets under the hood. and Drives as tight as it did when it was new.

I just wanted to say Hi, More later I'm sure.
