????rack and pinion???.

does any one have any info on rack and pinions , mine is lil wiggly. well the shaft where it comes out the rack is a lil wiggly what is the cheapest way out, can you have them rebuilt or fixed or do you have to replace the whole thing.? where can i find the cheapest replacement??

what happen the rods that come out of the side have play? because you can just replace the inner tie rods(i thinks that what your talking about)

If you are going to replace the whole rack, I believe any auto part store can get remanufactured ones. I dont know anything about which is better. I remember shopping around for my car, but ended up just change my tie rod ends and it solved my problem.

no its not the tie rod ends there fine , the bar with the stearing gears that goes through the rack is wobbly but i think i might just go with re manufactured one from pep boys its like $220 but its special order. does any one know if you gotta blead the lines or is there even a way to do so.

I had mine done at the subaru dealership.. and i bought my rack / pinion on ebay for like $200 with a $90 core return refund once you send them your old one.. so.. wasnt too bad.

thanks , the subaru dealer would be nice yea , but ill just do it my self how are the racks from ebay any problems with the old power steering lines where they connect to the rack
