took 8 months, mostly staring at computer screens with both wiring diagrams.
over all it was pretty easy, just takes time and patience, and a bit of blood
I revieced 3rd degree burns on my fingers,i got 5 stitches, oops

only items requiring modification were the drive shaft, steering shaft, exhaust, and dash.
it was fairly straight forward, considering i did it in a small garage.

Mate that is clean. Good for you! The scoop looks great, what suspension are you running?
Did you swap in the dashboard/interior as well, or just the engine + driveline?

suspension is stock sti shocks with eibach lowering springs
legacy dash but sti cluster.

i plan on going with a full splitter kit.
but it will stay like this plus a roof rack for the ski season.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but a legacy automatic transmission driveshaft would have been a direct bolt on to the STi 6 speed, thus negating the need for the extension right?

thats what i was told as well
so i got one and it didnt work - the flange to the rear diff has a larger bolt pattern diameter.
i guess it would have worked if i had used the legacy diff, but the sti one is more fun..
so i used half the sti and half the legacy, only cost me 120 bucks for the drive shaft modifications.

that scoop is SICK!
and the back wheels.. it looks.. WIDE, like modified wide? i love it! :smt007
is that just because of the sti shocks? or the new drivetrain? or maybe its just me?
i kinda wanna see a pic of the finished dash..

thanks guys

it has the sti rear end which i think is wider than normal and sti shocks with eibach springs

all 4 corners are rolled with small pulls

theres winter wheels are 17X7 +38 with 235 45 17s
the summers sit out even further
17X8 +45 enkei rpf01 with 225 45 17 falken azenis RT215

the scoop is actually an aftermarket knock off for a GC8
i bought it a while ago origionally for my gc8 RSTI but never put it on.

i sold the RS in march
I bought that car swapped from someone who paid a TON of money to have it built by a local shop, that also build a lot of proper rally cars

the legacy i did myself entirely in the garage, came out a LOT cheaper obviously, and now i know the car inside out and backwards

the legacy interior is still being completed
a lot of the clips on the pillar covers snapped so they need to be replaced.

i will post them up as soon as im done

Looks great. I like those RPF1's... thats a shit load of tire under there for a BD. I'm rolled & pulled not to rub on just 205/55 16's.

This is somthing I would like to do to my car in the future. I was just wondering (if you dont mind me asking) roughly how much this entire swap cost?

Thanks
