Like another recent poster. My front control arm bushings are ripped. I've looked into a DIY and they seem to require a press to push the old one out and the new ones in. Has anyone done it, and got around this without a press?

Which ones? Do you mean the front inner, rear inner or the balljoints?
For the rear inners, just buy an ALK if you don't have access to a press. The balljoints are easy enough to pop out of the knuckles, use a prybar to open up the ears a little (not too much). The inner fronts are the tough ones, you'll need to make a custom holder to press them out.
If you say they're 'ripped' you probably mean the ball joints.

I mean the part in orange, except on the front wheels.

This is like the EVO rear control arm bushings. You need a press. I know BIGSKYWRX over on NASIOC was able to use some threaded rod and washers to push out the front bushing, but the rear one for yours is easy enough with a press to be more trouble than its worth to jerryrig something up.

need a press. and sometimes some heat to get the bushings back in (most the time only for certain poly type bushing)
