IT IS EASY.

nothing special about it you'll need a 10mm,12mm and 14mm socket and ratchet
1. disconnect the - negative lead from the battery, then the + positive
* if you didn't you might be in for a shocking surprise  *

2. use the 10mm to remove the (i forgot whats its called) lead from the top of the alternator and unplug the harness connection to the alternator

3. use the 10mm to remove the bolt on the left side on the belt cover,

4. use the 10mm to remove the bolt that holds the AC cover to the main belt cover

5. then use the (14mm i think might be the 12mm) to remove the right alternator bolt, there is a nut that goes on the back (see picture 2)

6. use the 12mm to remove the belt tension lock/left alternator bolt

7. push down to loosen the belt and then using the 12mm loosen the belt tension adjustment bolt all they way down and your good to re install

odd notes: keep your old alternator handy while putting your new one on, From my personal experience i got a replacement alternator from advance and the positive stud was too big to work with my stock harness and i had to scavenge the old stud off the old alternator

it might take some force to push the old alternator down.

this is a great how to uninstall but did you install a new one?
encounter any problems along the way of putting it back in?

did you torque it down with a torque wrench?
did you grease any of the components when you put the new one in?

thanks alot cause your diagrams/pic was extremely clear and easy to follow.

only problem I've run into more than once is getting the new altenator back on some times it's a snug fit that takes "persuading"

did you torque it down with a torque wrench?

don't normally have access to one so no, i am a "shade-tree" mechanic everything is torqued to "that's tight enough" :D

did you grease any of the components when you put the new one in?

nope

thanks alot cause your diagrams/pic was extremely clear and easy to follow.

good

Yup all you need is the 10mm and the 12mm - at least on mine the long bolt is also a 12mm.
