whats up guys i'm brad. i live in Albany (for school which is 98% of the time) and kingston NY. My first car IS a 95 legacy L. It was a hand me down from my mom who got it new. I have been driving it since I got my licensein 2003 (i was 16) so it's been in my posession for 5 years. Over those 5 years i HAVE BEAT THE HELL out of this car and she keeps running pretty damn strong.
when i first got it i was less than enthused since i was def more into muscle and mini-trucks(which i still very much am) but it didn't take me long to build the respect i have for subys. but still... it was just a legacy then last year i did some stupid stuff and basically jumped my car for a solid 10feet before landing :smt026 .. not exaggerated... my nose was bent up almost an inch and i was worried the car was f*d but since i was at a truck show 3 hours away from home i had no other option than to drive it home. well the only problems was the cosmetics... and the dirt that decided to get stuck in the front fasia, so all that had to be done was put it on jackstands and crank down the front radiator support beam. this is where i finally decided i LOVE this car, so i went on nasioc and started digging up stuff on what could be done to it. which as everyone knows if you do reg search engines for lagacy parts you wont find jack-s#!t.
fast forward to today, i now have about 110,000miles on the car, the body has more than it's fair share of shall we say.... "character" lol, the engine leaks some, the tranny is automatic AND doesn't shift right some times, and i have some kind of hole in my exhaust....so i've decided to make it streetable for winters but mostly rally :smt023 (i don't fore see being super competitive but i like to drive fast and rally is awesome) the only thing about trying to rally i have no freakin clue where i'd do it lol.
so this week i have started my journey, i have coming my way a set of 02-03wrx agx struts and tanabe springs (i know these are really more street oriented but i figured its better than stock) the car is still my dd for atleast 9 months since i will be done with school around then
(i go to school at HVCC to be an X-RAY technologist)
--more about me--
I am 21, i went to vocational school during high-school for automotive, so i have a good base of car knowlege. i have a 94 chevy s10 that I put air bags on and am currently putting together a 406 smallblock with help of friends (internals scare me for some reason lol, i don't wanna f up). the truck is on hold right now because of time, distance, money,,and time
i live pretty much full-time in albany and go back to the parents' house in kingston for the holidays.
so whats good? who's in the capital district area?
who's got advice for my rally car ambitions?
who knows where the hell i can go to race?! i don't care if it's rally or auto cross, the only racing i know of around here is lebanon valley which is circle track :smt019 or drag racing :smt012
