Clutchproblem?

I drove the car last night, engine and transmission working great. No smell of burningclutch or anything when i parked the car.

Then this morning i went to a friend. On the way there i had to brake because of a turn and when i went back on the power(in 3rd gear) it revved up like if i engaged the clutch. No wheelspin wich im used to.
This also happends in 5th im having problems keeping 70kph because i have to be very careful on the throttle.

Think its the clutch but i want your opinion before i go to the shop with it. Hopefully i can take it in after hours tomorow, get a mechanic friend of mine to have a look at the clutch etc.

Sounds like your clutch needs to be adjusted. Is there fluid in the reservior?

Ill check that tomorow. I just hope the clutch is okay. i cant afford a newone right now.
Not after some prick trying to boost my car. That costed med 260$ to fix the locks.

It really does sound like your clutch is going tho.

Dont say that i dont want to :roll:
Though that reminds me about a friend who fills both clutch and brake fluid on a regular basis. Some bad hoses/lines. The same thing happens to his clutch.
But ill check it at the shop tomorow and get the problem confirmed.

On a 2k1 BE, I doubt it, but for your sake, I hope its something minor.

Clutch is broken.
But since i allredy have to get a new one. Think it'll be a vice investment getting a upgrade?
Im thinking a ACT Street Kit from boxer4racing.com along with ACT Street Flywheel.
For later performance enhancing.

Will it improve hp, torque or anything other than reliability?

Lighterweight flywheel will free up the drivetrain to put more power to the wheels.
The ACT clutch is a reputable one, I would also get the 5MT snout kit to avoid any throw-out bearing chatter. It prevents damage to the snout of the transmission.
