View Full Version : Water temp and gas gauge not working after install

Just installed the gauge plates that are a different color and had to remove the needles. Now, I got the tach and speedo working properly. The only issue now is that the water temp gauge does not work, it stays on C and the gas gauge has not been fully tested because I have not driven it enough to see if it goes down. Let me know if you have any specific issues.

wooooooowww... ive had this same problem for about 2 weeks now.. the gas gauge is stuck, im on empty

and the temp's stuck on c too

The needles have a keyway. They lock on in a certain way. Werever you removed them from (ie. 1/2 tank) it goes back in the same way. Hopefully you guys can still get it to seat correctly, especially after driving around for a little while like that.

my needles had no key, the shaft was just a round pin, they might have one where the shaft connects to the needle but mine didn't come apart that way

It thought it would've had some sort of spline. Almost all (Mixed models not mine yet) guages that I've done have been.
