I notice that when i drive my car (more noticeable on the highway). after i let off the gas there is a slight bump. then when i press the gas again it bumps again. what could this be?

If you have a larger than stock exhaust, it's fuel overrun.

damn. anything i can do to stop that? maybe a fuel pressure regulator and tune it down some?

i have a full exhaust atm 2.25" to the axleback which SPT makes 2" sigh*

Try Group N motor mounts to stop the engine flexing when the "bump" occurs? It's more noticeable on a downhill.. if the exhaust is unrestrictive you'll probably get "pops" when you let off the throttle.

An adjustable FPR might work, but you don't want to be super lean when you need the fuel to be there.

Engine management would smooth it out, but really unless it's a crazy amount of hesitation, it might be overkill.

I get the same type thing, but is it your tranny engaging and disengaging like i think mine is?

i've got the group-n motor mounts and mine does the same thing from what you're saying.... I've also got a 2.25 catback (de-catted)

i've got my AFR's tuned, and I think its my tranny, but this started after I got the lightweight crank pulley, so my issue may be unrelated to yours

Well tune is something you should do regardless. And for the problem you are having I will go with the tranny. My 4EAT Gt was doing the same thing. What exactly is the tranny doing? I don't know. Maybe a bad mount or something internally.
