These are manufactured for the Impreza, but has anyone tried them on the Legacy? My theory is that everyone says the KYB AGX for Impreza works, so why shouldn't the Konis?

KONI Sport Complete Strut Kit for Impreza AWD 93-2001. We have done all the work for you so all you have to do is install the struts and enjoy the ride. The KONI Sport product line serves sporting drivers with a carefully designed range of sport shock absorbers for the driving enthusiast. This line focuses on exceptional road-holding and handling properties, combined with an acceptable level of comfort.

Its characteristics include responsive steering, improved body control and limited body movements when braking and accelerating, all resulting in a direct feel and excellent wheel-road contact. KONI Sport dampers are externally adjustable by means of a knob, so they need not be disassembled from the car. The fine-tuning of the damping forces to personal driving style and to different driving conditions is therefore not more than a matter of seconds. The best of fine-tuning technology straight from the world of Formula 1 racing.

I have koni inserts on mine right now and i believe they are the ones for the impreza. I thougth you needed to change some things to make them work. I thought the strut tops and some other things.

Inserts are too much trouble for me. I'm going for complete units.
Are your inserts adjustable?

well, if it's made for an impreza and impreza parts work on the legacy, then why wouldn't it fit? it's the same strut, but a different company... :? i hope that made sense

i believe the rear top mounts are your concern. i think that up to 2002 imprezas didn't change the top mounts so they should directly fit into the legacy without having to modify...i could be wrong on that one though :?

I think the only difference between the Legacy struts and the Impreza struts are the upper spring perches. If you're going to use your Legacy springs (or springs made for the Legacy) you need to swap in Legacy upper perches. Otherwise you'll have to run some sort of spring meant for the Impreza.

The STI has a different bolt pattern for the top mounts IIRC.

perhaps that's what i was thinking of in relation to the rear mounting points
