Ok, I have a 96 legacy L, 5 spd. this morning at about 1:45 I left and got on the freeway. 1st gear. 2nd gear. 3rd at about 4000 rpm the engine lost power from 2 cylinders. Seems to be the 2 right side cylinders. The only perfirmance mods I have is the neon coil pack. Does anyone know what this might be? Its not the fuel injectors because I noticed my Cats glowing red hot. Now I'm not sure if its 2 or 1 cylinders lost but I'm pretty sure its 2. Any help asap thank you

Need a bit more information.
1. Do all cylinders have spark?
2. If so, do a compression test.
Your cat should not be glowing. Take him to the vet. j/k, but the catalytic converter should not be glowing.

First things first; do you have a CEL? If so, it will tell you which cylinders are misfiring. Your plugs might either be fouled or are not getting enough spark from your coil.

you might of plugged the cat if you drove with fouled spark plugs for a long time. and what your felling is the car having to much backpressure causing slugish proformance. like said make sure you have spark to all CYL.

Well its deffinitly not a plugged exhaust. I was thinking maby a problem with the coil, but its still sparking. I do need a new timing belt. So maby it jumped timing on the right side head. I was doing a lot of puddle mudd slinging prior to it. But at a higher RPM (like around 4k) it seems to pickup a nother cylinder (so 3 total)
Sorry, and I don't have a CEL
