Anybody knows where to get seat brackets for Recaro seats which will fit into my Legavy GT-BRG5?
Thanks

These are Recaro brackets for a 2002 WRX but will work on any Subaru model since the bolt patterns are identical.

If you buy the brackets that does not include the sliders/rails/adjuster. So thats an additional charge.
All subarus use the same seat bolt pattern. The driver side and passenger side are different.
The best solution for this is to simply find some old legacy seats (1996+ brighton models the GT drive seat rail will not unbolt) and unbolt the rails/brackets.
bolt 2 solid metal bars (flat not square) to the bottom of your Recaro and drill the proper holes in the metal bars for the legacy rails/brackets.
My buddy has a GC8 and he swapped Sparco's with this method. We had the Sparco brackets which he paid 150 each at the time. In the end making custom mounts made more sense then spending $300+ on brackets.
Good luck

Chuck- Where were you a few months ago??
How sturdy is the homemade set? I have a pair of Yellow Corbeau Forza's. If they weren't yellow, I would've installed them by now. I was also looking at buying new centers in a different color or just getting another set and selling these.
My local salvage yard has an L and a Brighton. I have a tear on my driver's leather cushion, so I might have to swap these in until I get a replacement.

Sorry bud with this new Forum we got going on its much easier to find unanswered posts. :-/
1) I am almost 300lbs @ 6'3" and the homemade brackets barley flex. http://img187.imageshack.us/img187/2876/seatbracketsaluminumlrgwf6.jpg . Flat steel bars @ 1/8th thick is what I used (this doesn't raise the height of the seat). My buddy with his supra used square tubing @ 1/4" which raises his seat higher then I like it.
Its up to you really on how you build the cross bars and support them. We just used heavy duty bolts but other people tend to weld them straight to the stock Subaru bracket.
2) Buy some fabric dye and get a very big bucket / rubber bin. Simple cheap and sure beats yellow.
3) When I built these brackets I used a GT passenger rail/bracket for the passenger seat and a Brighton drive rail/bracket for the driver seat. Its really simple
FYI: when removing the stock Subaru brackets / rails there is a guide wire that connects the adjuster lever on the left rail to the right rail

That's what I have now. Full Gray GT Leather w/driver's adjustable seat. Would just have to get the Brighton driver.
Tempting.

yup the GT drive side is riveted down and I think welded in some areas. I think it has to do with the drive seat being adjustable up/down

I have two driver's side (don't ask, lol) WRX floor brackets. Made by Wedge. They're meant for mounting Recaro sliders, but would give you the base to mount the seats to if you figure out sliders (or you can get them from Wedge as well). They run north of $100 from Wedge, I'll part with one of 'em for $60. I'm in Sacramento, CA, LMK.
