ok so im trying to paint ADR13 rims gold... no matter what i do the primer spider webs up and ive wasted $20 already in paint.. im so pissed off rright now its not funny. is there any way to get this damn wheel to bare metal without media blasting?? i cant sand it cause i cant fit sand paper in some places.... please help

Dremel with a sander pad will get into the corners... if your primer is spiderwebbing, you probably need to thin it more? Maybe your sprayer is clogging up.

im using duplicolor self etching primer in a can.. also im painting them with duplicolor GS100 gold... in a can..

Put the cans in hot water between coats to keep the paint atomized...?

i think the paint is reacting with the old color... i need paint stripper i think... i need the rims down to bare metal

Shouldn't do, unless your base isn't dry...

have you used and solvent before you primered? was the solvent completely dried? lighter coats of primer spread over 3 coats with 15min dry times

huffer was right..thanks alot man. but 2 wheels are still a mess and i cant sand them.. i dont have a dremel.. so i still need paint stripper. but 2 wheels came out amazingly.. filled the kitchen sink up with hot water and let the paint sit in it for 15min, then id do a medium coat to fill in some scratches then put it back in the sink..
