I was looking at a parts page and they had the subaru forester sway bar listed for cheap. The shape appeared the same as the legacy, but I was curious how thick these are and whether or not it'd bolt up?

I know the '98-'01 (SF) Foresters use the exact same Sway bars as the GC's, which don't fit BD/BG's nicely. Not sure about the newer models though...

yeah, forester chassis are the same as impreza, and a lot of the parts are the same. The swaybar itself might be thicker due to the "SUV nature" of the vehicle and the lift, but I think it would mount up as impreza parts do to our Legacy :)

I personally tried to install a swaybar off a 05 Forrest XT, and it didn't fit. The only thing that kept it from fitting was the small steel piece that hangs from the bottom of the trunk. ( i doubt anyone knows what i mean)

that can be hammered out of the way
that means it should fit the 95+ cars.

I fitted a 99 Outback RSB to my 99 Impreza wagon. JDM parts yo!
I think it might work if you do wagon to wagon, or sedan to sedan? I've never really compared. If only I had my wagon here in the US...
