Space Between Grill and Radiator

Does anyone happen to know off hand how much space is between the radiator and the grill of a BD? I may be upgrading my siren system and would like to mount two siren speakers behind the grill to the vertical cross member. The dimensions of the speakers are 6.5" H x 6.5" W x 2.9" D and would be mounted with the bracket shown below:

Any reason why they wouldn't fit?

I don't think you would want to put it there. If you open up your Hood, look down and to the left. Plenty of space to put something fun

Why wouldn't I want to put it there? That's the best location for getting sound out. The speaker I currently have is near the passenger side headlight but I'd rather have something located right in front of the car. That's what these speakers are made for.

3" in depth is a LOT. I don't think there's that much space. Hella Supertones are slimmer...

But hey, just pop the hood and use a tape measure.

Yeah I was going to do that, I was just seeing if anyone had a quick idea of the amount of space back there. Locating sirens is not easy...

I threw on some Hella Two tones in my 08' Legacy. Now that was a Pain getting it in there. They actually rest Just behind where the fog lights should be on the passenger side.

i have a pa speaker in my bumper i put it thru the front and pushed it to the right and it sits in there...no bracket or anything idk how your siren will fit though

Well my current speaker is heavy as hell. There's no bracket in its current location so I'm gonna leave it as is for now.

Nope, sorry. Just have the one control box and one speaker at the moment.
