Needed a REAL good clean when i got it. Previous owner had a large black dog which left slobber and hair allover the car. Had it shampooed and now its nice on the inside, but the outside is still filthy.

The front is covered in stone chips, so ill need to get a respray for that at some stage.

The engine is running a pretty uber safe tune, and its also got a completely stock exhaust, so those will both be sorted asap. THe top mount is stuffed too, so many broken fins its not funny. Got another V4 STI top mount on its way, but thankfully it comes with the STI Y pipe too, as im currently running a plastic WRX one.

I plan on replacing the exhaust with a 2.5" turbo back system asap, and then get it dyno tuned as its running REALLY rich.

Its crazy driving a subbie that sounds like a standard I4 econobox. Go go twinscroll headers.

Forget the 2.5" system. You'll need 3". You'll flow way too much for the 2.5" and you'll want to go that way on the retune as well.

Get the retune after the TMIC and exhaust are on to save some dimes.

Really like the car!

Get some lower in that thing! It looks amazing.

How do the GTB heads do with the larger single twin scroll? Do you puff out at higher RPM?

Heres my new TMIC that showed up today. Was a bit more bruised than i expected, but hey... spare time, an ipod and a very small pick = straight fins :P

Should have it going on next week. cant wait to get the STI Y pipe in there.

Also, yes it will be lowered eventually, but first i want to work on the performance side of it. The 2.5 exhaust is going on because i can get one off my mates car for cheap (he's already pushing 190kwatw with that exhaust and a TD05), and its got to be better than a stock DP, and stock exhaust with hollowed cats.

It runs out of puff higher in the rev range, but i think thats more to do with the exhaust and intake atm. at about 190ks in 4th itll start running out. full boost (15-18psi) is by 3500rpm, and i can get 5psi at 2500rpm and 10psi at 3000rpm. After all the mods and a tune, i should be seeing full boost (still 15psi for now) at about 2500rpm apprently.

just a quick update. Gave her a decent clean (needs to be cleaned atleast once a week, as its running so rich it keeps covering the back of the car with soot), and also finished and fitted the new TMIC with STI pipe.

Its so much more responsive it not funny. Full boost is still quite late, at 3500rpm, but now its jumped upto a steady 18psi. Changing the exhaust and tuning will make a HUGE difference, seeing as just changing the Ypipe made this much difference. Also removed the snorkus.... and damn the intake is loud!

Pics!

got two rows of bent fins already >_< seems the STI IC is wider and sits a little higher than the standard TT TMIC. The rubber splitter on the underside of the bonnet was in the perfect place to crush two rows. The culprit has since been brutally torn off never to return.

I assume youre talking about the odo pic? yeah, glanced down to see them all line up and was like 'omg must get out phone to take pic!'.
