Hi!!!
As most of Subaru, my 3.0 specb 2004 (2005 in USA, no? it's a BLE EZ30 one) doesn't have good brakes (for me... ).
I've just order Hel brakes lines, but I think it won't be enough: I'm looking for a brake cylinder stopper (cusco make one), but I can't find it for LHR car.
Do you think it's the same on 2.5 GT?
The front rotors seems to be dead, but it's difficult too to find replacement parts: Subaru front rotors are 316x30 on my car, and performance pads for front and rear are hard to find too!!! :smt017 :smt017 :smt017
If someone have a solution... :smt023 :smt023 :smt023

For the brake rotor needs, check out http://boxer4racing.com/. They have a lot of performance parts for all Subarus, but I don't know if they will ship overseas.

1) You can try Perrin's Master Cylinder Support (brace) its designed for Wrx/Sti GD chassis but should be no problem to modify for your needs.

http://perrinperformance.com/shared/images/products/180/78_large.jpg

If I am not mistaken the brace bolts up no problem except for the strut support, which i am sure you can get a
bracket welded if needed.

2) Your running a BL 3.0R with 2 piston front brake caliper w/ 11.5" vented front disc The best upgrade with the most pad options would be:

USDM GD 2006 WRX 4-pots along with 2005 Legacy GT drilled/slotted rotors and some hawk pad
https://sl-i.net/FORUM/

or

JDM GC 1997-2000 WRX 4-pots along with 2005 Legacy GT drilled/slotted rotors and some hawk pad
https://www.subarugenuineparts.com/images/subaru-4pot-brake-gray.jpg
And for the extra bit of bite.

2-pot rear brake setup with all the goodies:
http://www.subiegal.com/subarugirlies/howto/2potbrakesubaru/subaru-2pot-brake-kartboy-install.jpg

Both options are identical its just which is cheaper to obtain. They are direct bolt on except for the rears you'll need all items in the above picture.

The other options not listed are Big Brake Kits or STi Brembo Golds..

Hope this helps..

Many thanks!!!
I'll try to find them, to try it.
I'm a subaru weblcub member here in France, so I think it will be easy to find some!!! :smt026
Thanks again!!!

subarugenuineparts.com sells the brake upgrades
or any Japanese auto wrecker/importer will carry the front 4 pots for sure.

Good luck

I check my front rotors: they are 12.4", not 11.5...
And I realise that my car is a 2004 one, but the body is like your 2005 one, seems to be imported sooner in France.
Genuine rotors are not so bad I think, it cost less than 100$ here (not so bad, I used to pay more for my parts, usualy!!!)
I'll try to find performance pads (my sub dealer told me genuine pads were really poor ones), and try the car with HEL brake lines, master cylinder support and better brake fluid, at first...

I'm not sure, but I'm afraid the master cylinder support won't fit it...:

Hi.
So I find Subaru parts number for my car:
rotors are 26300ag00 (seems to be superceded with 26300ag01)
Front pads are 26296ag030.

Can somebody here check the US cars which are running with those items, for me to try to find performance parts: I need performance pads (hawk?) for front and rear (don't have rear part number) and front rotors (I'm looking for genuine or performance rotors).

I found this:
http://www.5-starperformance.com/servlet/the-941/Subaru-Legacy-GT-O.E.M./Detail
But they don't ship to France!!! :smt013

And Happy New Year !!!

You have a BL (05+ Legacy in the US),which has the 12.3" rotors already; they're almost the same size as Brembos. Spending all that money for the 4pot/2pot brakes with SMALLER rotors makes no sense.

Start with pads, plenty of guys track your model on the stock-sized brakes and have yet to experience brake fade. What seems to be lacking is pedal feel and bite; both can be first addressed with brakepads and SS brake lines. There are a few companies that make brake pads for your application. Hawk (HPS or HP+), Carbotech (Bobcat), & Porterfield (R4S) make performance pads for your application. They all offer more aggressive bite than the stock pads.

DBA makes rotors for your car, but unless you're getting brake fade now (loss of braking due to repeated use), stick with the OEM rotors for now.

Try Legacygt.com, that's where more BL/BP owners hang out. There are vendors there that may be able to ship to France, and most offer discounts for members of that forum.

Great!!!
Thank for your answers!!!
I've just try today SS lines (HEL, 6 lines): :smt026 :smt026 :smt026 :smt023 with Bendix 5.1: great result for a beginning!!!
I find answers on LegacyGt forum: I'm going to test Hawk HPS pads with my rotors: the problem seems to come from the oem pads, not the rotors: they are quite big and solid!!!
It's a less than 500$ solution...
I'll tell you!!! :smt006
