Dashboard light

All the gauges on my instrument panel work, but I have no light to illuminate the gauges. Does any one have any suggestions as to what could be the reason. All the fuses have been checked and yes, the lights are turned on. If I use just running lights at night, my stereo, temp, and clock are illuminated but nothing else. When I turn the switch to dim beams or high beams nothing is illuminated, except for whatever gear I'm in.

blown cluster bulbs?

I think the bulbs for the cluster are two 158's and two 74's

I have a blown 158 that illuminates majority of tachometer and overview of the right side of the cluster. needa get to that sooner or later.

This is not the same as the thread about HVAC lights... this is the illumination of the speedo/tach etc.

You will have to pull the cluster out and see if the bulbs are all blown (unlikely) or if a plug isn't seated or loose (more likely).

... And if that does'nt work, check/test the blinker stalk. It could be in the dimmer's switch set up.


BTW... What year is your car?
