and measure the dimensions of the input shaft of a manual trans for a 2.5 n/a engine, the parth where the clutch throwout bearing goes... i think mine is worn and if it is i dont want to have to pull the trans a second time to fix it, so i want to know if it is worn more than normal so i can fix it now before the trans goes back in

Call up your local Subaru dealership. My local one has even emailed me Details on how to do specific projects. of course I end up buying the parts form them but it is well worth it to have the schematics and pictures...also the knowledge of them.

its worth a try. Let them know that you might have to get a tranny from them and if they can get you the info before hand....

The 5MT snout fix is $125... and it's a lifetime deal. So just buy it, and put it on when the tranny goes back in? Pay the cost now to get it done preventatively, rather than wait?
