I am reading the Haynes manual and it says to drive the car til the engine is warm, remove the IACV and check to see that the shutter is closed. Well, after it warmed up, I pulled off the hose from the airbox intake tube to the IACV and looked in there with a flashlight and mirror. It is closed up to the part where the opening is angled smaller, but I can still see a gap of where the shutter could close maybe 5mm more. I am having high idle problems, and this is my 2nd IACV (a replacement "tested" one I got on ebay). Is this enough to cause that?
I'm trying to find out if it should be closing 100% completely before I say this 2nd one is junk and drop the $300 buying a brand new one.
