I was thinking of either getting yellow film for the outside, or doing a coat of yellow on the inside of my fogs. The bulbs I really want are around 40 bucks, and I can't justify paying that much right now.

I went the Rockblocker route and it turned out great. I tried using colored bulbs and couldn't get the yellow I wanted. The film went on really easy and there's great light output with strong color too. I recommend.

I went to Micheals and bought some stained glass spray paint in yellow. I did 4 coats, and the light turned out much better than the rockblocker I had on my other Legacy. Not sure how it'll hold up to the elements, but the color is amazing. I'll get a picture for you tomorrow night.

Here are a couple of pictures I took this evening. Time is about 15 minutes before sunset. Headlights are regular halogen lights for comparison.

You can get 55W Nokya yellow bulbs for around $15 shipped on eBay. I've been using them in my RS with clear fogs for a long time and am nothing but impressed. I would highly suggest going that route.

Wow, sorry I haven't been back. I forgot I made this post, haha.

J.R, that sounds like a really good/easy idea. Would it be possible that you could get me an in-car pic of the light output? I'm actually looking for a more yellow look from the pics you posted (as close to Lexus-type as I can without retrofits).

I had them in before and liked them a lot. Except they only lasted me about 7 months. Then again, they were only $15.

Edit: Clarification - I'd like to get a very deep yellow on the lenses so that I can use a brighter bulb, maybe Silverstars like my headlamps.

Yeah, I'll try to get you some better pictures. My camera doesn't seem to take the pictures of the color very well. The color on the road is about like this. I'll go find a white wall and get a picture, that'll probably work the best.

Here's a picture for you. Headlights are JDM HID's, and the fogs are the stained glass paint.

That looks REALLY good! Thats what I want right there, and I'll probably match them to some brighter bulbs

Thats interesting. Mine have lasted me over a year. The car is not daily driven though.

I just noticed that you're in West Chester. If you ever want to see the fogs in person, I'm in West Chester about once a month. I will let you know the next time I'll be up there.
