Magoozle's STi swapped 98 GT finished!

Well it's finally finished! I say finally but really it's only been about a month. The car was bought as a bone stock 98 Legacy GT with 180k miles and leaks everywhere. So what do you do with a leaky, underpowered Legacy? You swap it of course! The swap was done by SUBA Performance (http://subaperformance.com/) in Denver, CO. The engine is an '04 STi EJ257 with an '04 STi ECU mated to an 02 WRX transmission stuffed with RA gears. Beyond that there are 4/2 pots from an '06 WRX and '98 RS goldies wrapped in a set of 225's for a bit of added traction. Perfect car for Christmas? Sure is! It sits on a set of EnduraTech coilovers which were originally set to "slammed", but since it's a daily cruising car it is now set higher for city potholes and the occasional jaywalker who thinks, "Oh, it's just a slow Subaru, I have plenty of time to cross". :twisted:

Anyway, onto some pics. Sorry for lack of pics and a dirty car, it's been far too cold to stand outside for more than a couple minutes, let alone wash cars.

I did and still own it. This car actually belongs to the shop owner which is why I didn't add my name to the title before. :) But he doesn't like computers so he would have never posted it. Hopefully I can convince him to wash it since they have the next few days off and get some better pics.

Don't I know it, it's merely a band-aid to at least keep the car on the road. 6 speeds are nice but he doesn't really want to part with the 4 pots and 16" wheels.

From what I was told Justin is still waiting, I want his car swapped. But Troy cannot have a stock car, plain and simple, he did this on his off time, not during work hours. The reason for the hold on swaps was because the last car was such a nightmare that the schedule was backed up, instead of taking more people everything was put on hold until all current cars in the shop were done. Gotta make people happy when you are working on their pride and joy ya know?

BTW Troy is doing a JDM swap right now, so they haven't stopped doing it by any means. There are just too many people who want swaps right now. Rest assured, Justin's will be swapped, and oh will it be sweet!

You should just keep yours and swap it too, you put too much work into it just to sell!
