how do you install Subaru keyless entry?

I have the entry keyless module, with the harness..but can't figure out for the life of me where it's supposed to connect to! :( blah!

Any idea t all where it oculd be?

I have power locks, I just don't have the keyless entry module in my car and I want to add it. o_o

all my doors have in them actuators.

^+1 it should be a plug and play... you might need to get the remote programmed tho..
on a side note my 98 GT did not come with a actuator for the drivers door. i had to add one.

You can program the remote yourself if I remember right, I can go take a picture of where my keyless in plugged into if you want.

TO PROGRAM:
Open driver's door.
Turn ignition key to 'On'
Press and *hold programming button* in (button under dashboard, see below*)
After 15 seconds the the door locks will cycle 3 times. Do not release Programming button
Press lock (left) button the remotes to be programmed. The door locks will cycle one time.
Exit programming mode by releasing Programming button under dashboard and turning key to off.

I heard it plugs into the door lock timer, is that true or not at all? :S or just a plain plug on the left hand side of the driver side underwell?

The cars ECU is under the passenger floor board, however my control unit for the keyless entry is underneath my steering wheel. If you follow the steering shaft, you might find it in that area.

Blah I can't find it, I looked in the exact place where that metal thing is, and I can't find it at all. The door lock timer does not exist.. :(

I do have power locks, I can push the lock on the drivers door and it'd lock all the doors, and make it open doing the same for all the doors. But I'd have to time it right so it'd do everything..you know..hah hard to explain.

But, seriously I can't find this damned plug..even took off my steering wheel cover back to the underpanel of my dash and couldn't find anything at all.. I even took some pics I'll uploopad when I'd get back home today!

I found the door lick timer, but not on the drivers side, it was on the passangers side!

the thing is, the module I have H711a0s011 has a 9 pin extrnal. while the door lock timer has 6 I believe..

ugh anyone have a pinout of the door lock timer? the FSM I see dosen't have it that good.

Hahaha, oh damn I just killed my Door lock timer :( Whenever I put it in now it goes to a failsafe mode which does not allow the doors to be locked. you can try pushing ont he locl button on the door handle and it won't let ya!

I'll jump in here. I'm not sure what year your sub is, but this is what I know. My 98 outback has the keyless entry stuff wired into a conector and would be very easy to hook up, however my daughters 97 GT has no such conector. To wire it in I had to splice into some under the dash wires. What follows are the diagrams I used

WTH subaru! WTH WTH WTH I need to run wires under across the dash to get it to hook up..unless I can find out where it goes under the dash..UGH.

ugh okay, I got it..my harness is colored differently :( which makes this damn thing darn confusing.

I have to route the gruond and the passanger door/hatch unlock and all doors lock wires under the dash to the door lock timer and splce it in there (hopefully I don't need to keep the door lock timer module because mines shot) while I splice the rest of the wires underneath the dash on the drivers side.

8/95 build date guys = mean. I'm going to do this when I get some 20ft wire and plug these in ont he passanger side then the drivers side, till then it's on hiatus. :(

makes me kinda wish I never spent the 40$ I got on this thing, ugh.

Eh, I bought it cause I thought it'd be plug n play. :( *sighs*

Well, screw it, it's going in tomorrow once I remapt the connectors and get some extensions, thats the only hard part for me there I'd have to run it across under the dash and I hope I don't need to keep the door lock timer piece on, cause if I do, UGH!

i am thinking you have the incorrect setup as far as the control module goes. i have owned 2 LSi's one a '95 and the later a '96. the control module you have will work, but the pictures posted are NOT going to work. '95 and '96 are identical, however the wiring changed in september '96(MY'97).

i have been looking for a pinout for keyless entry control unit H7110AS010(btw, is the oem control for YOUR exact car!)

i am doing the EXACT same thing on my '96 as i type this. i have yet to find anyone with decent pictures or an installation manual.

as soon as i find out more information, i will try to post.

I have a 1998 L wagon and I don't have the connectors either. I guess I need the kit to splice in from the dealer. My friend was going to give me his keyless entry module because he doesn't use it and my driver's lock doesn't work (door locks, but the key won't turn). Well, maybe if I'm patient enough I'll try to extract his wiring harness. If I do, I'll try to take pics for you guys.

EDIT: He also has the security system, which I'm not interested in, but it might make things complicated. :-?

Hmmm, I've got a '98 L wagon but mine came with the factory keyless entry and remote (no alarm, though).
