Intermittent HVAC control issue

Sometimes my HVAC controls will just stop working. The fan speed works, but you can't control where it's coming out and nothing lights up. But when I stop and start the car again, it comes back on. Everything else in the car works including my headunit and such. Anyone have any ideas?

Bad relay or control unit on it's way out maybe?

Try taking the unit out, cleaning the harness plugs etc. Good opportunity to replace any blown bulbs too.
