LCD for outdoor temp

Well I built a indoor/outdoor temp sensor display which updates every second with a range of -67F to 256F first of all where is a good place to put the probe? and where could I put the display?

I bought my dad a rear view mirror that had a compass and temperature sensor in it for his F-250. They recommended putting the sensor behind the front bumper so as not to be affected by wind and engine temperatures.

Awesome! like said above I would find a pocket in your bumper that isnt affected by wind or much of anything else

hmm never thought of the front bumper thing that would make me feel better for when it rains out I would be heatsrinking the tubes to lessen the issue with water.

still need to think of something how it would sit in the car right now the circuit board is right behind it I could if need be split it up from the board.

the display is a 16x2 type and the display including PCB is 80mm long and 31mm tall

Could it fit in the pocket next to the cigarette lighter if you have that?

you mean the ashtray? lol if so I was thinking the same as well. I'd have to check but it seems like it might fit. the only sucky thing is the angle is low :-/

I don't smoke so I could cut the tray up

Yeah, I think it would still be the cleanest place to put it, you could maybe tilt it up a couple degrees.
