interior lights

This is my second 90's Legacy wagon. :smt021 Absolutely love them. Same small problem with both. Speedo/tach lights work but HVAC lights do not. On the 96, the A/C light functioned, but on my 98, nothing. Can't believe Subaru would make a car with no dash lights. Any ideas? Tim
