Hi does anyone know if you can disable the hill holder of the breaking system without causing any problems and if so how any help would be appreciated

interesting. Is this only only enabled on certain models? My BE certainly doesn't have a break hill holder (thank God).

no but it seems to go away for a few years then reappears again

The cable clutch 95-96's had them. Also the 2000-2005 foresters I believe. Though, the foresters used a hydraulic hill holder that tended to fail.
The hill holder really easy to adjust, and you could just it adjust it all the way out to not work.

Hi thanks for all your reply's very helpful the reson I sak is my hill holder comes on and stays on it does release eventually . I uderstand it can be ajusted I just dont see the need for one except idleness and if it's disabled it's one less thing to adjust many thanks to you all
