View Full Version : Reverse Lights Not Working/Headlight Question

Yo.

I have two questions:

1) My reverse lights don't work, I have replaced the bulbs as well as checking the fuse, and everything is intact. What should I check next? I'm guessing the wiring is shorted out or has been cut somewhere, but my electrical system knowledge is very limited. Are there any potential trouble spots that this would be likely? Thanks.

2) When I turn on my headlights, my JDM EJ25, which was just installed, starts making a noise that is kind of the sick love child of a tick and a glug. I'm not really sure how to explain it aside from that, but I do that it is not a sound I like hearing. The sound seems as if it's coming from the back center of the engine bay, below the surface level. Any thoughts on what this could be?

Thanks for your time,

Phil

1) reverse switch in the tranny might of failed
2) umm could you post a video or audio clip of the sound? does it do it when the engine is runing or just when you have the lights on?

Yep. Reverse switch most likely.

I have no idea what the sick love child of a tick and a glug sounds like ( ) so I might have to just come down there and hear it for myself...

Where does one find said transmission reverse switch?

The sound is when the engine is running, I'll see if I can get an audio clip of it tonight or tomorrow.

I think it's about $20 from the dealer. Here's the part number if it helps: 32005AA052

You don't even need to jack the car up to do it. Pretty simple but PM me if you need help I'll be in your area on Sunday and wouldn't mind dropping by.
