A friend of mine posted this on another forum, but isn't having any luck with an answer. I thought maybe you smart folks here at SL-i could help him out:
On my wife's 2002 Subaru Outback:
Here's the story:
DS headlight blows out. I pull the bulb and it looks fine, but I replace it with a new one (both old and new are Sylvanias). No light.
I have a second new one, put it in. Still, no light.
So I take the working PS bulb and put it in the DS socket. Nothing. I put the PS bulb back in the PS socket and NOW THIS ONE DOESN'T WORK EITHER.
So, now I've got two headlights out, but bulbs appear okay (9005). Foglights still work, but cops will pull us over eventually.
I've searched headlight issues (on subaruoutback.org), but haven't come across this one. Could a fuse be the culprit on one, then two headlights?
Thanks in advance. Btw...I posted this on subaruoutback.org and got ZERO responses. Lame
Anything posted here, I'll relay to him.
Thanks guys!
