gc8/gf8 coilover in bd6?

will coil-over for 98-01 impreza (gc8/gm8/gf8) work in a 95-99 legacy (bd6/bg6/bk6)?

I have wrx coilovers on my 97 GT.

Here's how I understand it to be:
The fronts will bolt right up but the rear top hat is different from the Impreza to the Legacy. Depending on the coilover you can make it work by using the Legacy top hat on the coilover.

They'll work but you lose suspension travel and the springrates are unlikely to be appropriate for the weight of the vehicle.

But they'll work with some finagling.
