sea foam and new pcv valve

so i have to change my oil so i got some sea foam also and then i thought i should get a pcv valve $3.50 big deal lol

so im going 2 use a wrench to change the pcv then before i reattach the vacume line start the car and pour the sea foam in really slow right?

also when you add sea foam 2 your oil do u have to change your oil again or do you leave it in there for the next 3000miles?

if you put it into you crank case it will start to thin your oil out! but you should drive arould the block so it go though out your engine. but you should let it drain for a long time so it doesnt affect the new oil.

wtf, (SLOWLY poor 1/2 pint through carburator, throttle body or direct manifold vacuum line that will feed ALL CYLINDERS) you dont even have to do that, you can just pull a vacuum lines off and let it drink from a lil cup with about 1/3 of it. 1/3 goes into the tank, and the rest crank case

Um. Don't do the cup trick. You need to trickle this in a controlled manner. It causes the car to stutter and die down. On yotatech.com there was an account of someone who poured it too quickly, stalled the motor out while gas was going in, and on the next start bent a con rod.

i do it that way just giving someone my advice, have someone in the car, hold the rev at like 3 grand and someone else stands out side with the cup with only 1/3 of the can of seafoam. your not goin to flood the engine unless you have to much in the cup! ive do that trick with my 95 impreza, 98 civic , and my GF brothers mr2 turbo alot of smoke but still a clean engine. just my 2 cent

^^ all pwt was saying is that there is a much higher potential for damage that way, not that it can't work.

if you can do it with less risk and comparable results why not?? letting the car drink it is not a good idea, just slowly feed it in with air and it'll be fine, plenty of smoke and all that way too.

so pour it in at like 1500-3000 rpm

the smoke it ok? i mean its not burning all the seafoam up before it can clean the car

The smoke is the carbon buildup in your engine being evacuated.
