I have an 05 legacy 2.5 base model with the naturally aspirated engine. I have found an intake for it, but have heard that when you install an aftermarket intake, it screws with the mass air flow and the check engine light comes on and stays on. Has anyone gone through this? And if so did an aftermarket ECU fix this like I've also heard?

On another note, any good websites for naturally aspirated aftermarket parts?

Thanks

theres allways the option of the hybrid intake with is keeping the stock air box minus the snorkel. that doesnt have the Maf problems. but has similar gains as CAI/SRI intake. if you havent read this it might be interest http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthr ... ?t=1471819 (http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1471819)

i have a hybrid intake and my MAF sensor seems to be fine with it, no low end hesitation at all. I used the existing SRI that was on the car when i bought it and mated it to the MAF with a 3" coupler. and the MAF stayed connected to the stock airbox minus the snorkus. I would suggest this instead of that intake since you can get the piping and vacuum lines together for 1/4 that price, and then all you need is a good drop in filter for your airbox.
