Im planning to buy an aftermarket turbo kit for my BD. I will need a front crossmember in order to fit the wrx up pipe, now I was wondering if the crossmember from the BH will fit into a BD..

And one more thing, I been told a EJ20 Engine can use the 2.5L tranny is that true?

Please help

Yes, you can use it, but I don't know why since the BH is N/A just like your BD. You can notch your crossmember with a torch (cheapest/most DIY option), or get a WRX crossmember and shim the front mount of your control arms/get WRX control arms, or get a Legacy SS (first gen legacy turbo) crossmember.

As for your second question, just look at my car.

I guess the easiest way is to get the shop to DIY my stock crossmember to fit the wrx up pipe. I wish I can do this but I dont have the right tools for this DIY. But hey thx for the help and all.... =)

Wait a second - crossmembers from different year models are interchangeable?? No (serious) modding required??

yes they all bolt up the same way to the unibody. That's why I have an 05 STI crossmember on my legacy.

This is also why you need a turbo x-member if you plan to install a turbo or swap into a normally aspirated car. You can notch the crossmember, but it's easier to guarantee a fit if you use a factory item.

Your best bet would be to just get the xmember from the Legacy SS. This way there is no need to shim up the front a-arms. When you shim them, they are not in the correct position. This effects the alignment and handling of the car.
