I'd put the nut back on over the steering column a few threads, and then pull like a crazy man.
If you just pull like a crazy man you'll smack yourself in the face.

the best solution is a steering wheel puller kit.

You know your car's running right? taking off airbags require the car to be off and battery disconnected right?

Technically, air bags can still go off when the battery is disconnected. They have capicators that store energy so if the battery is demolished in an accident, the airbag will still deploy.

and they also loose charge over time. thats why i disconnected my battery for 2 days.. they only hold a charge for 20 secs after the battery has been disconnected.
