View Full Version : Issue with horn after reinstalling steering wheel and srs

So I was attempting to correct some silly mechanics mistake with putting my steering wheel back on crooked and I got everything off fine and went to realign it everything went back on without a hitch and now my Horn doesnt work anyone have any idea why? oh yea and my airbag light is on in my dash too which wasnt before.

Your connections aren't hooked up correctly?

all the wires seem to be intact ill double check real quick

well from what i saw the wiring under the wheel with the covers removed from behind the steering wheel are intact and the one on top what little i can see of it is intact

disconnect your battery and reset the ECU...

Check the contacts along the metal frame and on the airbag support. The rails are underneath the two vertical bars here

yea those two rails are all connected nothing loose still gotta rip the carpet up ill get it soon and I only need to disconnect the positive or both before unhooking the ecu so everything resets?

Did you check the fuse?

Actually i just thought bout it my relay box is like dangling near that little silver thing with a million tubes coming out of it its on the left side near the headlight that thing has had too of come loose in the past few weeks :grin:



Edit: no that thing is taped up good I needs me a reset.

This is insane. I have this bosch adaptor on my batteries positive terminal (from before I owned it but my stereo equipment is hooked up to it) that requires an allen key to get it off so I cant even disconnect my battery, because none of my allen keys fit it! :smt021

but once I find someone with the proper key and disconnect the battery all I have to do is remove that silver cover behind the passenger footwell and the ecu is in their or is it under the center of the console my horns still dont work I have been pollyin on em.
