I know! apartently theres some winter pakage on them mainly in like canada :-(

My '97 Outback came with heated seats/mirrors and an engine block heater. I'm pretty sure somewhere in the crazyness that led to my car being 5 different colors on the outside the heated seats were replaced with non-heated seats as I still have the controls but never felt any heat with the switches on. Now I have '07 WRX seats anyway so they definitely aren't heated.

I think it started with 2nd gen legacies but I'm not positive. I know my 96 outback has them with the cold weather package.

It started with the OB's with a "cold weather package" which I believe became available in 96, and was then carried over to the Legacy a couple years later.

controls are directly to the left of e brake, there is 2 switches and two change pockets.
