You could DIY one, or buy one from Paranoid Fabrications.

Thanks for the info. On the paranoid site there are many different ground kits some for the wrx, sti, outback and so on. The description of each is the same so is the only difference the color of the wire coating?

Also, would the super upgrade kit be that much better than the standard kit? Which would you go with?

Grafton picked up a Super 3 kit I believe... and Paranoid Fabrications has a pretty detailed thread on which one is suitable over on RS25.com...

FWIW, I bought their most expensive kit and didn't notice a change in anything. People say it smoothed out their idle, but maybe mine was already smooth? :smt017

Regardless, it's a good kit and is easy to install. Plus it makes the engine bay look pretty if you wire it nicely, haha.

no big change...I remember when I first put on mine the headlights got a little brighter. But that was before I went to a full relay harness for the lights...

my car was helped quite a bit by the grounding kit. Accel in 1st and second is smoother and the idle is smoother. The car just doesnt feel like it's working as hard at low RPM. Also my dash and headlights are a little brighter now, and i no longer hear whining through the tweeters in the front (may be unrelated though...) Not a bad $40 mod whatsoever, and I'm sure you can get it cheaper if you make it yourself.

if you re-enforce the alternator-battery link your alt can better react to changes in current demand see the chart in my rides thread
