so on ebay are all "N1" style mufflers angled? because I don't mind the can shape but i dont want it angled like a ricemobile

and will any 2.5 RS catback bolt right up to a BD GT with out any modification?

and if im getting a cat-back would exhaust hangers be a good idea or are they not needed?

The angled mufflers depend on the pipe that goes INTO the muffler - the midpipe. All the ebay mufflers come without the midpipe.

2.5RS is shorter in the midpipe than your Legacy. So no, a catback will not fit without an extension.

I don't have firmer than OEM hangers on my catback, and it's fine, but you can ghetto-rig it by zip-tying the stock exhaust hanger to prevent some movement if you wish. Basically you use the ziptie to compress the middle of the hanger so it looks more like a bowtie.

JHOT usually has axel back systems for legacys but there usually beat up a bit.
and the 2.5rs catbacks on ebay are damn good quality for the price then angled muffler completes the subaru look IMO i had a blitz exhaust on my 07 wrx and it came out straight. i didnt like it too much made it look like a poser.. and yess you need a 6in extension on the midpipe and the mufler hangers need to be moved for it to fit perfectly on a legacy.

wait you like the look but you thought it made you look like a poser? :smt017

how hard is it to move the hangers?

I dont wana pay $600 for a stromung cat-back when i can get a OBX cat-back for 275 but will I have to be under the car with a welder and stuff?

no no no.. the blitz exhaust came out the bumper straight. i like it when the whole muffler is slanted off to the left (when looking at rear of car)
the muffler tip isnt slanted the whole thing is.

that exhaust is awesome for the price

oh yea I like it strait like the stock exhaust on my GT but I want a little bigger tip and larger diamiter piping of course but not a slant cut tip i want a flat cut lol im picky about details

thats what i was asking also does "N1" style mean slanted? or not necessarily

i think N1 is just the style of muffler. flat tip, big can type, but the piping behind it makes it slant off to the left.. and its sexy and cheaper.

note takin lol that OBX setup looks good tho man its a toss up if u ask me but i always go with the cheaper one..

and hangers uhhh u cut them off and re weld them to fit your car without burning a hole in your muffler.. heat the welding surface and the welding rods up before you use them. it helps.

hmmmm maybe il just try to find one made for leggys

the stromung says its for imprezas or legacys do u still need an extender? cuz thats alot to pay for still having to mod it
