Hi, I'm Tornadobrain from Kansas. T-brain for short. I'm a first time Legacy owner, (an '09 2.5i Limited) I am thoroughly impressed with my car so far. Did a lot of research before settling on a Subaru, and I'm real glad I did.

I hope it'll be seen in the avatar section.

Anyway, just saying hello, and thanks for putting this board together. Yahoo boards are foul.

I spent about a year doing research on a new car, web searching, test drives, pricing and such. about six months into my search I looked at Subarus and at first I looked at Outbacks and Imprezas, but I'm not a wagon kind of guy, no offense to Outback owners, theyre cool cars, just not for me. The Imprezas were too small, plus I'd read that the '08s were not as good as earlier models. I was at the dealership here in Topeka when they brought in an '09 Legacy SE. My eyes about fell out of my head when I saw it. It was love at first drive to be honest. I'd tested some older acuras, some hundais, an '09 mazda6, (which I almost got by the way, nice cars are they), but nothing compared to the feel of the legacy to me. I fit in it like it was made for me. The salesman told me the pricetag on it, and that pretty much sealed the deal for me. I knew I couldn't find more goodies for the money, plus SAWD, plus the safety ratings. I had them order me a Legacy Limited in Newport Blue Pearl, and I picked it up six weeks later, that was end of August. I really thought about getting a GT, but at the time, gas was hovering around $4 bucks a gallon for regular unleaded, premium was $.50 more. I couldn't justify the cost of gas for the GT, or I would have gone with that.
I got the Limited because I really really wanted that Harmon Kardon 6 disc cd stereo :cool: :smt023 :grin:

Um, no, she's all mine. Just curious why payments would be bad.

Thanks for the welcomes. I've been looking for a place to talk about Legacys since I got mine. This town has Foresters and even a few Imprezas, but I can probably count the number of Legacy sedans here on one hand. :smt009
