Replacing my rear wheel bearings, '99 legacy outback, and need to make sure I have all the right parts: Bearing, axle nut, two different inner seals, one outer seal, and wheel bearing grease, that's it right?

Also couldn't find torque specs on everything, so if anyone has those or point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it, thanks.

tip be careful with the long bolt that connects the hub to the lateral links. its has a tends to not want to come out or ive seen them break (its cost $35). you need a press to take the bearing races out.

Well the rears are proving to be a lot more of a PITA than the fronts were, probably due to the mileage. Had to pick up two new(used) axles and pass. side hub assembly. Beat the hell out of the pass. side axle to try and pop it out, after I picked up the new one, and I still can't get it seperated. Oh well, live and learn, with all the new stuff it's still alot cheaper than getting them done at a shop.

And decke48 thanks for the tip, got the bolts out fine with breaking, but at some point ruined the threads on that bolt, and indeed very expensive.

If your going to do a lot of work yourself in the future, invest in an oxygen, acetylene torch. They may be expensive, but very much so worth the bucks. It will save you hours of labor and priceless hours of frustration.

I've done quite a bit of work on the car already, but this has been the first time I've had serious dificulties. But yes, I will try and pick something like that in the future.
